Introduction
Cooking can be a very useful skill at times, such as in the middle of the wilderness with nothing but a range and some raw food. Cooking allows you to create your own HP and energy source, without the cost. All you need is a range or a fire, the skill level, and a raw food.
Healing
After you have cooked food you can eat it. Eating food heals your hitpoints level and therefore prevents you from dying. The following table shows you how many hitpoints each form of food restores for you:

Recommended Levelling Guide
1-20
At this level it is best to be self sufficient. Fishing your own fish then cooking them is the easiest method. Head off to Draynor with your net and begin fishing shrimp, when you get a full load light a fire and cook. You can drop them, or bank them, whichever you want. At level 5 you can grab a normal fishing rod and some bait at the Port Sarim Fishing store and begin fishing sardines and then cooking them. At level 10 you'll be able to catch herring, so begin cooking them too. Continue doing this until you reach level 20.
20-40
At level 20 it's time to start fly fishing. Head off with your axe and tinderbox, as well as some feathers and a fly fishing rod. Go over to Barbarian village, Shilo Village, or south of Castle Wars. Start fly fishing them and then cooking them. This will be some of the faster fishing experience in the game, so you should zoom through these levels.
40-90
For the next 50 levels lobsters are the way to go. This experience will be very quick, at about 1k lobsters an hour, which is equal to 120k xp an hour give or take a few. If you are a member it is a must to have cooking gauntlets. They lower the chance of burning, and will be a big help on saving money.
90-99
At 90 you can switch over to sharks, or continue on with lobsters. Shark prices are constantly changing, but if you can be quick to buy, cook, and sell you probably wont lose as much money as you would with lobsters. At 94 you will stop burning sharks with cooking gauntlets. When you reach 99 cooking you will have one of the best looking capes.

Rogues Den
You must have level 50 thieving and 50 agility to enter Rogues Den!
Rogues den is a members only location. It is located in Burthrope close to the slayer master. Once in Burthrope go into the Toad and Chicken inn. Once inside the pub locate the trapdoor in the back corner of the pub just behind the bar. When you go down the trapdoor you will be in an underground room. In this room you will find a constant fire burning and a bank close by. To access the bank right click Emerald Benedict. You can also crack safes for thieving experience or enter the Rogues maze. You can start the maze by talking to Brian O'Richards. You can also purchase items from Martin Thwait such as lockpics for thieving, and a stethoscope to make cracking safes in the den easier.
FAQ
Q: What is the Cooking Guild?
A: The…well…guild for cooking. Only level 32 chefs may enter here, though, and they must be wearing a chefs’ hat. You will find a flour windmill here, along with chocolate, cake tins, and cooking apples. There is also a Bank inside the Cooking Guild, for those who have completed all the tasks for the Varrock Achievement Diary (members only). This is a very useful place when preparing a snack, as it contains many different ingredient respawns. The Cooking Guild is located just west of Varrock, and it is nonmembers.
