- Talk to Mord Gunnars, who is standing near his ship on Rellekka's most northern dock. He will tell you he is from an island north of Rellekka called Jatizso. He mentions that his island needs your help. Choose the third option, "Can you ferry me to Jatziso?" and you will be transported there.
- When you arrive in Jatizso, head northwest through the gate, and speak to King Gjuki Sorvott IV in the house across from the bank. He requires your high position among the Fremniks. However, before he may give you his orders, he needs you to get a raw tuna for his pet cat, Hrafn, who will keep interrupting your conversation until he is fed.
- Once you have fed the cat, the King will then tell you how he's heard that more and more ships have been docking at the Neitiznot Island and he believes the people of Neitiznot are planning something. But before he can do anything about that, he will be busy with the Red Axe Kelda merchants that have arrived 3 days early. He requires 6 pieces of mithril ore or 7 coal (if your mining level is lower than 55).
- Grab 6 mithril ores or coal and head back to the King. The chancellor will reward you with 5,000 coins (or 2,000 coins if asked for coal) in exchange for the ore. The King will then continue, saying the Neitiznot's Burgher, Mawnis Burowgar is a fool, and that he thinks Mawnis is planning to overthrow him. He wantst you to infiltrate the Burgher's hall and uncover his evil plot. The King will tell you to get a ride to Neitiznot from Maria Gunnars, Mord's wife. He will then tell you to search the box behind his throne and find some jester clothes. The king will also tell you to find the old Spymaster, Slug Hemligssen and get some information from him. Slug's secret password is, hysterically enough, "Free stuff please".
- Head back to Rellekka the same way you used to get to Jizitso and speak to Maria, Mord's wife. She will take you to Neitiznot. Go northeast, past the yak pen and into the town. You will find Slug behind the bank. Speak to him and choose the option "Free stuff please." Slug will inform you that you must infiltrate the Burowgar's hall as an entertainer. He will tell you that while you perform, you must take notes on their conversation.
- Once you have your jester outfit on and your hands are empty, head to the building south of the bank and speak with Mawnis Burowgar, also known as the Bergher. Start your performance. He will tell you what trick to do: skip, juggle, talk to puppet, etc. Meanwhile, the guards will be talking. Pay attention to what they are saying, or you can use this guide to answer Slug's questions.
- After you perform 5 of his requests, he will compliment you on your skills and ask you kindly to leave. Return to Slug behind the bank, and he will ask you some questions about the guards conversation.
Q: How soon does Thakkrad think Neitiznot's troops can be ready?
A: They will be ready in 2 days.
Q: How many militia have been trained?
A: 17 militia have been trained.
Q: How many bridges does Thakkrad need repairing?
A: There are 2 bridges to repair.Slug will give you 2500 coins as a reward. He will tell you to figure out where the 2 bridges that need repairing are, but first you are to get the Burgher's trust.
- Talk to Mawnis again and he will say that you must assist his engineer fix the broken bridges, you are required to get 8 yak hair ropes.
- Grab 8 ropes from your bank, or head on over to the Yak pen and kill 8 Yaks and gather their fur (note: while you are there, pick up 3 yak hides as well) and spin the hair in the southeast part of town. Return to Mawnis and he will reward you with 1,000 coins.
- The engineer will now ask for you to gather 8 split arctic pine logs. Head back to the yak pen with a hatchet and cut 8 logs. Head back east of the bank, and use the woodcutting stump to split your logs. Return to Mawnis again and he will reward you with 1,500 coins.
- The engineer will now ask you to repair the 2 bridges north of the town. A knife, the 8 split logs and the pieces of 8 rope are required. Also bring at least rune armor and some good food.
- Head north of the settlement, cross the bridge that is not broken and head northwest and repair that bridge. You will cross automatically. Head to the other bridge, ignoring the ice trolls, and fix that bridge too.
- Return to Mawnis, where once again, you will be rewarded with 1,500 gp. The Burgher says he plans to assault the troll caves and behead the Troll King. The Bergher asks you to return to Jazitso in search of allies to help defeat the trolls.
- Head back to Maria, southwest of the town and ferry back to Rellekka. From there, ferry to Jatizso with Mord and speak with the King, who you've already spoken to across from the bank. The King will assume the Bergher is planning an attack on his island, just as suspected, but before the King will listen to you, he must get more money from taxes. The King makes you check the town for window tax. The citizens will need to pay 1000 coins per window they have. He gives you an empty tax bag.
- Go around town, talking to people and asking for their tax. When talking with them, they will ask how much the tax will cost. Enter the the amount of windows they have times 1000. The people, where they can be found and their prices are:
Skuli Myrka, in the small house with an anvil. 6,000 gp.
Hring Hring, in the house south of Skuli. 8,000 gp.
Flosi Dalksson, two houses north of the bank, in the general store, 5,000 gp.
Vanligga Gastfrihet, in the house west of Flosi. 5,000 gp. - Return to the King, who will say that the windows tax is not enough. He will ask you to collect a beard (and mustache) tax of 1000 gp now. The bearded people and where they can be found are:
Skuli Myrk, in the small house with an anvil.
Hring Hring, in the large house with an anvil.
Raum Urda-Stein, in the same house as Hring Hring.
Flosi Dalksson, two houses north of the bank, inside the general store.
Keepa Kettilon, in the same house as Flosi Dalksson. - Return to the King and he will want to find out who fixed the bridges for the Bergher (it was you). He will tell you to go back to Neitiznot and speak to the Spymaster again. Return to Neitiznot, the same way as you did before.
- Speak with the Spymaster Slug again. He will tell you to entertain the Bergher once more, getting information like last time, after which he will ask you questions like last time. Go to Mawnis and do your act, be sure to wear your jester clothes and use the right moves while watching what the council says.
Q: Where are the Bergher's troops docked at?
A: Etceteria
Q: What are the soldiers being sent to improve their fighting?
A: Potions
Q: Who has been helping Bawnis?
A: You have. For getting the questions right, he will reward you with 2,500 coins. The Spymaster will tell you to go to the King once more.
- Return to Jatizso and speak with the King again. The King will seal you in his room and interrogate you. You will tell him the truth that the Bergher's troops are going to attack the trolls, not Jatizsoing. After a good scolding by you, he will decide to help the Bergher defeat the troll king. The king will reluctantly give you the royal decree, but he only wants to kill the Troll King before the Bergher, not to be their allies.
- Talk to Mawnis on Neitiznot. You will give him the decree and he will appoint you as the leader of the raiding party, but first you must be initiated into the Neitznot clan. To do this, you must make yourself a set of yak-hide armour and a Fremennik shield.
- Go kill some yaks (or get them from your bank) and return to Mawnis with 3 of their hides. He will cure them for you for a price of 5gp per hide. Then, use a needle on each hide and make one yak-hide body armour and one yak-hide leg armour. For the shield you must have 2 arctic pine logs, a hammer, 1 bronze nail and a rope. Craft the shield at the woodcutting stump.
- Return to Mawnis and your initiation will begin. After your initiation, the Bergher will tell you meet his men inside the Troll's Caves.
- Head to the northeastern end of the icey path, crossing the bridges you fixed as you go. Reach the red ! on the minimap and go into the cave. Once you enter the cave, a cutscene will begin. You and your raiding group of Neitznot guards will charge the trolls, where you will need to kill 10 of any trolls. If you run out of food, prayer potions or strength potions, Bork Sigmundson in the north part of the cave will supply you with them. (even if you don't need them, take the prayer potions for a free 28k worth of pots)
- Once you have defeated the ten trolls, head south, cross the bridge and fight the Ice Troll King (Level 122). Wear dragonhide and use protect from range, and he uses ranged attacks and ice barrages you.
- Once you have killed it, decapitate its head to receive the Troll king's head. Make your way back across the rope bridge you came from, past your fighting comrades and out the cave opening. Go back to the town and talk to the Burgher. To prove his gratitude, the king will give you his helmet and give you 10,000 exp in any of 2 combat skills of your choice.
Congratulations, quest complete!
Q: What does the Helmet of Neitznot look like, and what are it's bonuses?
As you can see, this helmet has pretty much the same stats as a berserker helmet, with better defence and a slight prayer bonus.
